Henri Bequerel was born on December 15, 1852, he wa s a physicist with along side Marie Curie discovered radioactivity. And in 1903 they won the Nobel Prize. He eventually died August 25, 1908

Marie Curie was born November 7, 1867 in France. She was famous for pioneering the development of radioactivity, she was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize. She was also the first woman to become professor of the University of Paris. He works include the theory of radioactivity, and the two elements polonium, and radium. She conducted the first study of neoplasms. She unfortunately she died July 4, 1934 due to aplastic anemia.
Historical Background
Experimental Design/Data collection
- Marie Curie, Pierre Curie, and Henri Becquerel discovered radioactivity.
- When they were experimenting with Uranium they eventually found out that it emitted radiation without an external source of energy.
- Radioactivity is used everyday. And if it wasn't for these scientists we probably still would not be able to identify radioactivity.
